However, if this desire wins and the pet is not best placed with that person. The pet may be attached to the owner and could be mentally or physically harmed by neglect, if it is no longer wanted! Your blog was lovely to read. It was so nice to hear someone not only promoting the adoption of older cats but highlighting the fact that it's a big decision that shouldn't be taken lightly which ,unfortunately, people do and therefore are not able to take on the full commitment. I'm sorry to hear that small only lived for 6 months in your care due to ill health but it's nice to know that she had a lovely last few months in a home environment being cared for.
