I know how easy it is to want something and not really think it through because the desire drives!
However, if this desire wins and the pet is not best placed with that person. The pet may be attached to the owner and could be mentally or physically harmed by neglect, if it is no longer wanted! Just as a child needs to be looked after and he/she depends on their guardian, a pet is no different!</description>

I&#039;m currently the adoption officer at The Mayhew Animal Home but I must have joined shortly after you adopted Small and Biggie.

Your blog was lovely to read. It was so nice to hear someone not only promoting the adoption of older cats but highlighting the fact that it&#039;s a big decision that shouldn&#039;t be taken lightly which ,unfortunately, people do and therefore are not able to take on the full commitment.

I&#039;m sorry to hear that small only lived for 6 months in your care due to ill health but it&#039;s nice to know that she had a lovely last few months in a home environment being cared for.
