Winning! Is it ever enough?
I can recall so many occasions when children and adults have punished themselves for not running that little bit faster or not aiming better, for example. Should we ‘beat’ ourselves, rather than, others? By this I mean try and do better than the last time, rather than, doing better that anyone else.
