There have been many reports about what goes on in other countries. Some think ‘we’ should intervene & others think we should stay out of it! That’s out of our control in many ways when the issue occurs e.g. the war in the Gulf. I guess we can change things later, when/if you vote during the election.
But what about what YOU can do? Issues at work? In the family? Can you make a difference?
I often speak up when I perceive an injustice. This is often difficult and involves taking risks, being an outcast (hopefully not for long! :)) but most importantly it can be rewarding, inspiring and create positive changes.
It doesn’t affect me!
They came first for the communists,
And I didn’t speak up because I was not a communist. Then they came for the Jews,
And I did not speak up because I was not a Jew.Then they came for the Trade Unions,
And I did not speak up because I was not a trade unionist,Then they came for the Catholics,
And I did not speak up because I was a Protestant,Then they came for me,
And by that time no one was left to speak up.
