Someone very close to me wrote this recently.

I hope that sharing it will help you in some way, whether it be an aid to you articulate how you feel, to be grateful for what you have, to aim higher, to work harder, to recognise something you didn’t before….etc.

Anyway I hope reading this does something positive for you. 🙂

I did what you said so why am I failing?

You told me to let my guard down.

When I did , you let me remain vulnerable.

You told me to lean on you.

I did.

You did not let me fall.

You let me crash.

~~~~~
You told me to be open with you.
To only confide in you.
You and me against the world.
I did.
I was left isolated with nobody left to hear me.
~~~~~

You told me to let you fulfil your role.

I tried.

I waited.

I’m still waiting.

~~~~~
You said you love that you can make me laugh.
You can.
You said all you want is to make me laugh.
However, I am frowning too often.
~~~~~

You told me to unlearn being self sufficient.

To let you take over some things.

I have done that.

Now neither of us are efficient.

Do I need to re-learn how to be self sufficient?

Heena, I had no idea you were a blogger!

To the writer of the poem, I can tell it is very heartfelt, perhaps a big way of letting out those emotions, a release, but whatever the reason for the poem…you asked a question at the end, to be self sufficient again, yes it is and always will be.
